Communications Engineering Department organizes a panel discussion on the impact of drugs and psychotropic substances on the nervous system
Within the activities of the cultural and scientific season of the Department for the year 2024-2025 and under the direct supervision of the head of the Department. Dr. Afaneen Anwar Abboud
The Department of Communications Engineering organized a panel discussion entitled "The Impact of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances on the Nervous System", which was met by the Head of Researchers and Psychotherapist Amir Abbas Salman and Professor Imad Ali Hamadi, in the presence of the Head of Optical Communications Branch Dr. Mustafa Dheaa Hasib and Head of the Telecommunications Branch, Dr. Mohamed Hussein Meri and a large number of professors, associates and students of the department.
The aim of the panel discussion was to affect drugs and their effects on human health and on the nervous system in particular. Drugs are an extraneous phenomenon for the Iraqi people, especially young people. The reason for the lack of health awareness is that drugs have psychological and physical damage to the human body in general, such as lung cancer.
Loss of appetite for food, insomnia, fatigue, infectious ulcers, high blood pressure, accelerated heartbeat more than usual, as well as an effect on the nervous system leading to impaired memory
It also dealt with several main themes:
1. Spreading awareness among university students about the impact of biology on the human body in general and the nervous system in particular
2. Educating students about the fate of the ultimately abuser is inevitable death as a result of high dose use or even dose interruption can lead to death.

Communications Engineering Department Organizes a Panel Discussion on the Improved Application of the MIST System
Within the activities of the cultural and scientific season of the Department for the year 2024-2025 and under the direct supervision of the head of the Department. Dr. Afaneen Anwar Abboud
The Communications Engineering department organized a panel discussion entitled "Improved Application of Adaptive Precision Neuromodulation System Using the Logical Locally Programmable Gate Matrix", at the time. Najma Abd Habib, in the presence of Head of Optical Communications Branch Dr. Mustafa Zia Hasib and Head of the Communications Branch,Dr. Mohamed Hussein Meri and a large number of professors, associates and students of the department.
The panel discussion aimed to define in the rapidly evolving landscape of smart systems, integrating adaptive learning algorithms with real-timeas as a critical area of research. Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy ANFIS (Interface System) is one of the powerful tools that integrates hazy logic with neural networks, making it useful in modeling and controlling different applications. However, traditional software-based applications often face computational inefficiencies, especially in scenarios .real-time.
